Persistence of mosquito vector and dengue: Impact of seasonal and diurnal temperature variations

<p style='text-indent:20px;'>Dengue, a mosquito-borne disease, poses tremendous burden to human health with about 390 million annual dengue infections worldwide. The environmental temperature plays major role in the mosquito life-cycle as well mosquito-human-mosquito transmission cycle. While previous studies have provided useful insights into understanding of diseases, there is little emphasis put on variation, especially diurnal vector and dynamics. In this study, we develop mathematical model investigate impact seasonal variations persistence dengue. Importantly, using threshold dynamical system approach our model, formulate reproduction number infection invasion threshold, which completely determine global dynamics population transmission, respectively. Our predicts that both can be determinant factors for general, numerical estimates show places higher or tendency suffer less from epidemics. results provide novel theoretical temperature, beneficial control spread.</p>
